Mother's Day Run/Walk Success for 13th year

The 13th edition of the Topsfield 6 - Hour Run/ Walk for Breast Cancer took place under better skies this year.

The fundraiser is annually held at Bradley Palmer State Park and raises funds for The Hunt Breast Center. All monies
raised through pledges and contributions are to fight breast cancer. Many thanks go out to the park officials
and volunteers of Gil's Athletic Club, who host the event.

The run was won by G.A.C. runner Jason Patch, running 41 miles in the 6 hour time limit. On the female
side G.A.C. club member Lori Lebel of Danvers, MA ran 39 miles to take the victory to repeat last year's win.

Contributions are still being accepted in any amount made out to the Hunt Breast Center or G.A.C.;
mail to Gil's Grocery, 26 Main St., Topsfield, MA 01983.

Thank you for another great year.
