Mother's Day Run/Walk Success for 19th year

The 19th edition of the Topsfield 6 - Hour Run/ Walk for Breast Cancer took place again this year.

The fundraiser is annually held at Bradley Palmer State Park and raises funds for The Hunt Breast Center. All monies raised through pledges and contributions are to fight breast cancer. Many thanks go out to the volunteers of Gil's Athletic Club, who host the event.

The run was won by Amy Rusiecki, running 40 miles in the 6 hour time limit. In fact the top THREE runners were women! On the male side Mike Turner ran 37 miles to take the victory.

Contributions are still being accepted in any amount made out to the Hunt Breast Center or G.A.C.; mail to Gil's Grocery, 26 Main St., Topsfield, MA 01983.
